PhotoProof

Image disapproval desk

Your photos were just rejected. See which ones, and why.

Merchant Center and Amazon flag non-white backgrounds, tiny files, watermarks, blur, and products lost in the frame. PhotoProof scores each image in the browser and writes the fix in plain English, before the ads stop.

How it works

01

Unlock and drop files

Enter your email, then drop product images or a CSV of image URLs. The free plan scores 10 images.

02

Pick the rule set

Google Shopping, Amazon main image, or Shopify. Each photo gets a pass, warn, or fail, with a fix you can send to whoever edits the catalog.

03

Export and repair

Download a CSV report. Auto-fix the easy misses: pad onto pure white and resize to 1600px.

Example result

Scores below are computed by the same checker, on a generated 1600×1600 sample with a grey background. The product is large and square. Amazon still fails it.

1600×1600 · 471 KB · Amazon main image

86

Fail

The border is 0% near-white. Amazon main images need a pure white background. Put the product on white. Auto-fix only adds white padding; it does not repaint a colored scene.

  • Dimensions

    Pass

1600×1600. Longest side 1600px meets the 1600px recommendation.

  • Aspect ratio

    Pass

    Square (1600×1600).

  • Background

    Fail

0% of the border is near-white (RGB at least 245).

Blur score 202 (variance of the Laplacian; higher is sharper).

  • Watermark

Busiest corner edge density is 0%.

FAQ

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Decoding and scoring run in this browser. A CSV of URLs is fetched by your browser from the image host. If that host blocks cross-origin reads, download the file and drop it in.

Which rules are actually checked?

Dimensions, aspect ratio, border whiteness (pixels with red, green, and blue all at least 245), product fill from the bounding box of non-white pixels, blur as the variance of the Laplacian, file type and size, and a corner edge-density heuristic for watermarks or promo text.

What does auto-fix change?

It pads the photo onto a pure-white square and resizes the canvas to 1600×1600 JPEG. It does not remove a watermark, unblur a soft file, or repaint a grey scene white.

Why can a high score still say Fail?

The score averages the checks. One failed check still marks the image Fail, because one disapproval reason is enough to stop the listing.

Is this an official Google, Amazon, or Shopify tool?

No. It is an independent checker that encodes public listing guidance so you can triage a disapproval before ads stop. The marketplaces make the final call.

What happens when I click Upgrade?

This build does not charge a card. Upgrade records an intent on this device and, when the local signup service is running, a validation click. Stripe Checkout is not connected yet.
